ClicGuard Help

After installing, sign in with Google on the welcome page. That's it: ClicGuard protects your AI chats right away. Tip: pin the shield to your toolbar (puzzle icon → pin ClicGuard).

Paste the fake key from the welcome page into ChatGPT. You'll see the red frame. Never test with a real key.

• Block (red): the message can't leave as it is. Used for API keys and passwords.
• Warn (orange): ClicGuard asks first. You can Mask, Edit or send anyway.
• Mask: ClicGuard swaps the items for placeholders like [CLIENT_1] and sends the message.

Change what's blocked or warned in Settings → What to check. "Strict mode" in the popup blocks everything.

When the AI answers with [CLIENT_1] or [EMAIL_1], ClicGuard shows the real value on your screen, highlighted in green. Hover it to see what the AI actually saw. API keys, passwords and card numbers are never shown back. IBANs stay masked unless you turn on "Show real IBAN in answers". Placeholders are remembered until you close Chrome; after that, older chats show the placeholders again.

Settings → My clients: one name per line (companies, people, projects). ClicGuard spots them in any case, with or without accents. Your list stays on this computer. To use it on another computer, use Export and Import (the file contains your client names, so keep it safe).

On an orange warning, click "Send anyway". On a red block, hold Alt and keep the mouse button down on "Edit" for 2 seconds: "Send anyway (I know what I'm doing)" appears. To work freely for a while, use "Pause on this site for 1 hour" in the popup.

Click "Send anyway", or set that category to Warn or Off in Settings. If it keeps happening, tell us at contact@clicauto.com (don't send the actual value; describe it).

ClicGuard works with rules and can miss unusual formats. Add names to My clients, and tell us about the format at contact@clicauto.com.

The site may have changed its design and ClicGuard can't see the message box properly. Pressing Enter is still checked. We'll ship an update; you can also reload the page.

Settings → Leaks stopped: date, site, what was found and what you did, for 90 days. Never the items themselves. Export it as CSV or clear it.
