ClicGuard Terms of Service

1. The service

ClicGuard is a Chrome extension that checks what you paste or type in supported AI chat sites, and warns you, blocks the message or masks sensitive items before you send it. It works with rules, so it can miss things or flag things by mistake. It does not check attachments, voice input or images. ClicGuard helps you avoid mistakes; it does not guarantee that no sensitive data will ever be sent, and you remain responsible for what you send. If a site changes its design, some checks may stop working until we release an update; pressing Enter is always checked.

2. Free trial

You get 7 days free, with every feature. No card needed. The trial is linked to your Google account, one per person.

3. Free version

After the trial, you can keep using ClicGuard for free with warnings on ChatGPT and Claude. Blocking, Mask, real values in answers, the client list, the log and the other sites need Pro.

4. Pro: price

Pro costs $4.99 per month, or $39 once for a lifetime license. Taxes are included. At checkout you may see the price in your local currency. Your payment is processed by Link, a payment service by Stripe, which sells ClicGuard on our behalf as the reseller of record; Link's terms apply to the payment itself. Your bank statement shows LINK.COM* CLICAUTO. The monthly plan renews every month until you cancel.

5. Lifetime license

One payment gives you every Pro feature and every update, for as long as we offer ClicGuard. It is personal, linked to your Google account, and can't be transferred or resold. If we ever stop offering ClicGuard, we'll tell you at least 90 days before, and the extension will keep working as it is on your computer.

6. Cancel anytime (monthly plan)

Cancel anytime from ClicGuard → Settings → Manage subscription, or from your Link account at link.com. You keep Pro until the end of the month you've paid for, then you move to the free version. No further charges after that.

7. Refunds

The free trial lets you try every feature before paying, so we don't refund payments, including partial months and lifetime licenses, except where the law says otherwise. Link, which processes your payment, may also grant a refund under its own policy.

Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers). When you subscribe or buy a lifetime license, you ask us to start your paid service right away, and you confirm that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has started. If you do not give this confirmation, you cannot buy.

8. If a payment fails

We or Link will let you know by email. Pro keeps working for 3 more days while you update your card. After that, ClicGuard moves to the free version until the payment goes through.

9. If our servers are down

If you're a paying customer and our servers are unreachable, ClicGuard keeps working for at least 7 days. A lifetime license is never cut off. We will never cut off a paying customer because of a problem on our side.

10. Price changes

If the monthly price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before. You can cancel before the new price applies. Price changes never affect a lifetime license you've already bought.

11. Fair use

Don't try to break, copy, resell or reverse-engineer ClicGuard, or get around the trial.

12. Liability

ClicGuard is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

13. Changes and contact
